When should I apply to an SGML undergraduate program?

We recommend applying no later than four to six weeks prior to the start of the semester. We may also consider late applications, space permitting.

Do I need to take all my courses at ASU?

ASU offers all the courses you need to complete your degree, but students are allowed to transfer up to 64 credits from another college-level program, such as a Community College. See your advisor for details about what credits are transferable.

I've completed all the transfer work I can do at a Community College. What do I need to do to apply to ASU?

You need to complete an ASU undergraduate admissions application and have your official transcripts mailed directly from the school you attended.

Do I need to meet with an advisor prior to applying to SGML?

Students may meet with a program advisor prior to applying, but is not mandatory. Once admitted, students will need to meet with a program advisor prior to registering for classes.

I'm currently enrolled at ASU and I want to change to an SGML undergraduate program. What would I need to do?

If you are currently enrolled as an undergraduate student at any of the ASU campuses and want to change your major and/or campus, you need to meet with an SGML program advisor. The program advisor will determine eligibility based on SGML requirements and process all paperwork. Appointments can be made at 602 543-6200.
