Critical Requirements and Major Map
The objective of the Financial Management Concentration is to prepare students to enter a career in the corporate finance area. Students will get an in-depth look at both the quantitative and qualitative aspects of the analytical tools needed to make financial management decisions. Emphasis will be on both domestic and global environments in which the financial managers make decisions based on the nature and use of various securities available. Students will receive exposure to financial-statement components, external-reporting concepts, roles of information, alternative valuation methods, and standard setting. Prerequisite: previous course work in financial accounting or permission of director.
