The B.S., Accountancy program is designed for students who demonstrate the highest promise for professional success in the accounting discipline.
Students must first be admitted to ASU at the West campus in the School of Global Management and Leadership, and must have:
- Obtained a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 or better in high school or a GPA of 2.5 in transfer work from an accredited institution.
- Students entering ASU with an Associates Degree from a Maricopa Community College or other university, should have transcripts that reflect a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.5 and a GPA of 2.5 or better in the lower level business skill courses to be admitted to the Accountancy program.
- 100 and 200 level business skill courses for Accountancy are:
- Financial and Managerial Accounting (6-7 hours) *
- Computers in Business (3 hours)
- Principles of Economics, Microeconomics and Macroeconomics (6 hours
- First-Year English Composition (6 hours)
- Brief Calculus (3 hours)
- Business Analysis (3 hours)
- Statistical Analysis (3 hours
- Students entering ASU without an Associates Degree, but from a Maricopa Community College or other university with transfer hours, should have transcripts that reflect a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.5 and a GPA of 2.5 or better in the lower level business skill courses above to be admitted to the Accountancy program.
- Students on 2005 or later catalog year, must have a "B" or higher in their accounting series
*Accepted Series: ACC 211 and ACC 212; ACC 111, 112 and 212; or ACC 230, 240 and 250 or 111
