I have an undergraduate degree in business, but not accounting. Is this program for me?
Yes. Many of our students have undergraduate degrees in business-related majors such as management, marketing, finance, economics, etc. If you have an undergraduate business degree you probably have all of the program prerequisites completed.

My undergraduate major is in archeology (or engineering, biology, journalism, Russian, zoology, etc.). Is this program for me?
Yes. Students from any major except accounting are encouraged to apply. Depending on your degree, you will probably have some prerequisites to complete before starting the program.

I don't have a 3.0 GPA in my upper-division undergraduate coursework. Can I still be considered for admission into the Masters degree in Accounting graduate program?
It depends on several factors. If your undergraduate degree is very recent, and your GPA for upper-division coursework was 2.10, the answer is probably no. On the other hand, if several years have gone by and you are now likely to be more serious about your education than previously, the answer is probably yes. This does not mean you will be admitted automatically, but it does indicate that the Admissions Committee considers a variety of factors. In addition, in certain cases, a high GMAT or GRE score can offset a weaker undergraduate record. If your overall application suggests a significant probability of success in the program, the Admissions Committee might consider you for "provisional" admission. A "provisional" admit has 9 semester hours to earn a GPA of 3.0 or higher

I'm a Post-bac student in accounting at ASU at the West campus. If I change to the master's program, will any of my undergraduate courses count toward the master's degree?
The short answer is "no." The good news, however, is that you would not need to repeat any content that you learned in your Post-bac courses. You would simply take extra accounting electives to fulfill the 30-semester hour master's program.

In general, no credits toward the 30 semester hours of masters level accounting courses are transferable. The Accounting Department Chair must approve any exceptions in writing.
