Master of Professional Accounting: On Campus or Online
SGML's Department of Accountancy now offers an innovative and flexible Master of Professional Accounting (MPAc). This program provides a graduate degree opportunity for students having undergraduate majors in fields outside of accounting. Upon successful completion of the program, graduates have met the educational requirements for the CPA certification in Arizona and 47 other states.
Upon successful completion, program graduates will meet the 150-hour educational requirement to qualify for the Certified Public Accountant (CPA) exam. The program is an excellent career choice for students who DO NOT hold an undergraduate degree in accounting but wish to pursue career advancement in accountancy professions. Mastery of the technical and professional skills that form the core of the MPAc will give you the competitive advantage to accelerate your career advancement and compensation growth.
Through this specialized program, you will develop strong technical and professional accounting skills that lay the foundation for success in today's business world. In a rapidly changing business environment, the MPAc from the Department of Accountancy in the School of Global Management & Leadership stresses innovative preparation for performance in a fast-paced arena and enhanced awareness of global focus.
The MPAc program emphasizes the skills needed to succeed in the business community, including critical thinking, teamwork, leadership and the ability to communicate effectively. Students are also provided with the opportunity to interact with the professional world through speaker programs, receptions, workshops and internships.
Beginning in the Fall of 2008, students will have the opportunity to take MPAc courses either on-campus or via anytime online learning technologies, depending on your schedule, location or learning style.
