To receive a Leadership Certificate for Health Care Professionals, participants must select and complete five of the following seven modules:
Module 1 - Mastering a Service Mentality: Making Customer Satisfaction and Engagement an Everyday Priority and Reality
This workshop examines the three types of marketing efforts that organizations must implement successfully to become a service leader: external marketing; interactive marketing; and internal marketing.
Module 2 - Making the "Right" Decisions: How to Manage "Difficult" Conversations and Challenging Situations for the Purposes of Making Correct and Ethical Decisions
This workshop focuses on proven methods for making the best decisions possible, paying special attention to the dynamics of ethical decision-making.
Module 3 - Attracting, Selecting, and Retaining a Talented and Diverse Work Force
Most organizations have come to realize that the key to their competitive advantage lies in their ability to attract and retain superior human resources. This workshop will help leaders learn effective interviewing techniques, how to combat stereotyping, and how to create a state-of-the-art selection process that engages and retains a talented and diverse work force.
Module 4 - Self-Awareness: Understanding Your Own Strengths and Weaknesses
Self-awareness is a necessary requirement for effective leadership development. In this workshop, students complete a number of self-assessments, receive constructive feedback, and create a personalized development plan.
Module 5 - Motivating and Inspiring Your Followers Toward Performance Excellence
This workshop explains how to foster a motivating work environment so that those who follow you will be excited to help you achieve your goals at all levels.
Module 6 - Taking Leadership to a Higher Level: Crafting and Implementing Vision and Change
This workshop shows leaders how to maintain a future orientation with an emphasis on leading in times of change. Specific topics will include: staying in-tune with developments outside the organization; moving the organization toward change and innovation; providing leadership that facilitates the implementation of new vision; and dealing with resistance to change.
Module 7 - Becoming a More Effective Negotiator and Manager of Conflict Situations
This workshop offers the valuable skills that are necessary to approach interpersonal confrontations and resolve conflict through collaboration. You will learn negotiation techniques that will help you achieve win-win agreements.
