When are internships usually conducted?

Internships are provided all three semesters. Program advisors will recruit students in November for spring internships and in April for summer and fall internships.

How do I apply for an internship and receive course credit?

E-mails will be sent to all students, notifying them when the recruitment has started.

What if I'm currently enrolled in the prerequisites for an internship?

Students must have completed the minimum course and GPA requirements to be eligible for an internship and receive course credit.

Are these paid internships?

The majority of companies who participate in the program offer paid internships. Compensation and work hours are determined by each employer.

What kind of schedule will I have to work?

Students will create their own schedules with the companies, but must start and end according the semester schedule. Students should expect to work at least 10 hours a week.

Can I find an internship on my own and use it for credit?

Yes, but it must be approved prior to the beginning of the semester. Working for a family business, or in a job you already have, are not eligible for course credit. A general internship application can be downloaded and submitted to the department.
